Who We Are
Team Be The Match is a nationwide community committed to helping patients in need of a marrow transplant. We help raise funds to add potential marrow donors to Be The Match Registry®.
Every day, thousands of patients with leukemia and other life-threatening diseases search for a marrow donor who can make their transplant possible. Seventy percent will not find a match in their family and turn to Be The Match Registry, the largest and most diverse registry of volunteer marrow donors in the world. Every person who joins the registry gives patients hope - patients like Isaiah.

Full of energy with an ever-ready smile, Isaiah was your typical 5-year-old boy. He loved to run around, play, and tell people about his baby sister and his puppy, Shamu. One day, however, Isaiah was diagnosed with leukemia and told he needed a transplant to get better. After months of searching for a donor match, one was found and Isaiah got the transplant he needed.

How to Get InvolvedWhen you join Team Be The Match and raise funds, you increase the chances of patients finding a donor and receiving the life-saving transplant they need. By joining Team Be The Match, you will help to significantly increase the number of potential donors on the registry. Today, there are more than 8 million, but more are needed and you can help by “teaming up”! You can help people join the registry and help increase the chance that a match can be found for every patient in need. When you sign up online to join Team Be The Match, we will provide you with all of the tools you need to raise money and recruit your friends, family and co-workers in your efforts to help save lives. You will receive access to your very own Team Be The Match Participant Center, where you can create a personalized web page, send e-mails asking for support, and even fundraise on Facebook! |
