Which team should I join?

If you met a recruiter at one of our donor drives, he or she most likely provided you with a link to his or her team page – and you can join from there.  Or, you can search for the recruiter by name or by team name.

Where does the money I raise go?

The money you raise through Team Be The Match helps patients in need of an unrelated marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant.  Your funds will add more potential donors to the Be The Match Registry, the largest and most diverse registry of potential marrow donors and cord blood units in the world.

Contributions to Team Be The Match are processed by Be The Match Foundation®.  Be The Match Foundation works with individuals, corporations, other foundations and community groups to raise funds that support three crucial areas: growing the Be The Match Registry to increase the chances that more patients find their match; providing financial grants to patients who need help with treatment costs; and funding transplant research to help more patients live longer, healthier lives.

Can I raise money for a specific patient in need?

As a Team Be The Match participant, your dollars support growing Be The Match Registry and cannot be allocated to an individual patient.  However, we encourage you to share your personal connection to any patient as your reason for raising money through Team Be The Match.  By joining Team Be The Match, you are helping all patients in need of a marrow or cord blood transplant.
