Last spring I got a call rather out of the blue about possibly being a bone marrow to help an older gentleman.
After a bit of poking and proding, I ended up being the best match for this man. And in late July 2018, I donated PBSC (as pictured).
As I write this in summer 2019, I have not yet received an update on this gentleman and if my donation helped him, but I hope to know more sometime this summer. And I'll certainly update this page if I get more information.
In the meantime, I found and was selected for this great opportunity to fundraise for Be The Match, by running the Twin Cities Marathon 10-mile on October 6, 2019.
I ran the full marathon in 2017, but running a full marathon once was probably enough for me. So bear with me as I ask for your support to do a quick 10-mile jaunt in benefit of Be The Match.
My goal is to raise $500 before race day. And while I know it's super cliché, any amount truly helps.
Thank you so much, and if you'd like to join me on race day, I'd love to have you come out with me!
