I'm fighting LEUKEMIA and I've decided to Walk my way to Life and with it try to help others find a MARROW DONOR as I've found myself ( my personal and totally anonymous HERO!!)
Doctors have hightlighted that keeping my body healthy and in shape through the Transplant process is key to maximise possibilities of success. So... I'm going to walk and walk all around the Stanford Medical area to maximise my chances.
I'll be measuring my steps and distance with a Fitbit and updating my progress daily via jjuan.me, where I'll be sharing the experience as a Leukemia patient and my thoughts about this critical time of my life.
So these are the OBJECTIVES of the "Walk with Me" Challenge :
- Beat Leukemia
- Walk at least 100.000 steps over the next 100 days
- Raise at least $10.000 to support more than 100 Marrow Donors added to Global Donors registry
- Have fun along the way!!
I'd love if you can donate even if it's $1 so more people can become MARROW DONORS and give survival chances to other patients like myself.
So.... Come on!! Walk With Me!!
