On March 1 we will be celebrating the 3 Year Anniversary of Logan's Bone Marrow Transplant!
In 1998, when Logan was 4, she battled a stage 4 Wilm's Tumor. Eight years later she was diagnosed with Chronic Esoniphilic Leukemia. In 2012, after 4 long years of treatment, a bone marrow biopsy revealed some abnormal cells that were the result of her treatment in 1998. The only option for Logan was a bone marrow transplant.
Like 70% of all patients, Logan did not have a matching donor in her family. Thankfully a Be The Match donor answered the call and Logan received her transplant.
Help us find a match for all patients in need! Logan and others need a matching tissue type – not blood type. Tissue types are inherited so patients are more likely to match someone of their own ethnic background.
All it takes is a cheek swab to join and Save a Life!
To celebrate Logan we are having a Be The Match event! If you are 18 to 44 and meet the health guidelines you can join at http://join.bethematch.org. To make a gift online click the Make a Gift button on the right!
