Save a Life
Be The Match
Join the registry. A medical consent form and simple cheek swab is all that is needed to determine if you could be the one to save one of the thousands of patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. It's simple - takes 5-10 minutes and for 18-44 year olds can be done for free online! Register here: http://join.bethematch.org/southbay
We are seeking 18-44 year olds, in good health, that are willing to donate to any one in need to join the Be The Match Registry. Review the guidelines for joining Be The Match at http://j.mp/JoinBTM
- Doctors request donors in the 18-44 age group more than 90% of the time. Research shows that cells from younger donors provide the greatest chance for transplant success. As a non-profit, Be The Match must use the funds received wisely and focuses on adding registry members most likely to donate to help save the most lives. If you are ages 18-44, it is free to join Be The Match online or in person.
- Donors between the ages of 45 and 60, must join the registry online at http://join.bethematch.org/southbay and will be required to make a $100 tax-deductible payment to cover the cost of genetic testing.
Volunteer. With your help, we can do even more to tell people about Be The Match, raise funds at events and add potential donors to the registry. Your time has a real impact on the lives of patients and their families. Be The Match has volunteer opportunities no matter where you live, what your skills and interests may be, or how much time you can offer.

To be even more involved as a volunteer, including facilitating the medical review portion of the consent forms, you can become a Volunteer Ambassador.
