Amiee was a light that touched many lives and diminished too soon. She was a mother, artist, friend, roller derby enthusiast (Half Pint O'Rage) and softball player. Amiee was a fighter. She lost her fight August of 2012, a month before her 31st birthday, leaving behind a son and so many friends. Amiee had cancer. The dreaded "C"word - a thief that has stolen too many, too soon.
Amiee, like so many others need(ed) a bone marrow transplant, but was unable to find a match. Be the Match helps to not only build the bone marrow registry, but also educate people about registering and the donation process. Had Amiee found a match, she might still be with us today.
The Rage Against Leukemia tournament is a 1 day charity co-ed softball tournament that I have started in Amiee's name. We have grown from 5 teams to 16 teams in just 3 short years and continue to grow and reach out into our community. In the last 2 years alone we have raised over $8,000 in Amiee's name for Be the Match.
Please consider donating in Amiee's name and help us to reach this year's goal of $5,500!
Help us "Keep the HOPE in the FIGHT!"
Thank you for your time and consideration
Your gift can add new potential marrow donors to the registry, assist patients with uninsured transplant costs and fund innovative research to improve transplant outcomes.
Did you know?
A marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for more than 70 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell. Seventy percent of patients do not have a matching donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match to find an unrelated marrow donor and receive the transplant they need.
Please help me reach my fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible contribution. Your gift delivers cures to patients desperate for a second chance at life. Every dollar counts. Together, we can make a difference!
