For the thousands of people diagnosed every year with life-threatening blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, a cure exists. Over the past 25 years Be The Match ® , operated by the National Marrow Donor Program ® (NMDP), has managed the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world.
A marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for more than 70 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell. Seventy percent of patients do not have a matching donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match to find an unrelated marrow donor and receive the transplant they need.
Be the Match on Campus at IUPUI seeks to add to the Be the Match registry so that more people have the opportunity of receiving a life saving donation. Your gift will help ease the financial burden that many patients face because of health expenses and will ensure that everyone who is in need of a transplant is able to receive it.
Any donation, no matter how small or large, can go a long way in helping people fight life-threatening blood cancers.
