I joined Team Be The Match to raise money in memory of my cousin, Riya Dandekar. She was diagnosed with Anaplastic lymphoma when she was only 21 years old. She had dedicated her time, even through her illness, to raise awareness for stem cell donations. All her efforts have inspired me to do the same. By doing the Palmetto 5K Run on April 8, 2017, I hope to raise money to help others, like her, to get a bone marrow transplant that could possibly help save their lives.
Your gift can add new potential marrow donors to the registry, assist patients with uninsured transplant costs and fund innovative research to improve transplant outcomes.
Did you know a marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for more than 70 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell. Seventy percent of patients do not have a matching donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match to find an unrelated marrow donor and receive the transplant they need.
Please help us reach our fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible contribution. Your gift delivers cures to patients desperate for a second chance at life. Every dollar counts. Together, we can make a difference!
