Course Information:

The 1K and 5K routes will take place on a paved running/biking beach path. While there are no vehicles on this path, it is open to the public and popular with joggers & cyclists. Please be courteous to other runners, walkers, and cyclists by staying on your right…especially if you will be accompanied by children and strollers. We are better neighbors when we don't block the whole path by walking 4-5 across, so please walk in pairs and leave room for other beach-goers to enjoy the paths as well.

It is important to also pay special attention to directions provided by the signage and course marshals.

The Tot Trot is approximately 150-200 feet.

Community Outreach:

We are looking for volunteer leaders! Be part of the Local Organizing Committee that is dedicated to helping the event reach its goals in order to save more lives. Committee members serve as ambassadors of Be The Match Walk+Run, and promote the Be The Match Walk+Run in the local community. No experience is necessary.

You can also help us get the word out about your participation in the Be The Match Walk+Run. Build awareness and help boost the funds you raise by spreading the word to your social networks or by posting event posters and postcards in your community.

Contact Angie Larson at angela.larson@nmdp.org  for more information about the committee or to request posters and/or postcards.

Parking Information:

Parking is available at the Long Beach Convention Center in the Elephant Lot for $15. This year's pricing is slightly increased from previous years. Please follow directional signage and volunteers to the lot, which can be accessed from Shoreline and Linden. Although credit cards are acceptable payment, you may consider bringing cash to expedite the parking process. The event will take place across Shoreline at Marina Green.

Additional metered parking is available at Marina Green but spaces are limited. Please be mindful of meter rates and enforcement times.
