I have the POWER to help DELIVER CURES for blood cancer—and you do too.
Hey friends and family!
Thank you for visiting my Be The Match fundraising page! It's been almost 4 years now that I've been working as a Nurse Practiitoner with the Bone Marrow Transplant/Stem Cell Therapy provider team at Rush University Medical Center and my passion for this profession and cause only grows stronger and deeper with each year. If you're looking for some way to make a difference in the life of others, donating to the national marrow donor registry is a great way to do it!
I also have found that supporting this cause is a great way to keep the memory alive of my late brother, Marc. While at the University of Iowa, he worked as a volunteer and spoke about what it was like to be a transplant survivor for over 20 years and helped recruit people to register as a potentional bone marrow donor. I am collecting donations in honor of my wonderful brother, Marc Zider, and also in honor of the bone marrow transplant patients that my amazing team of coworkers and myself at RUSH take care of everyday. I continue to be blown away by the generosity and support from my friends and family. Please continue to help me support this very important cause!
Did you know? A marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for more than 70 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell. Seventy percent of patients DO NOT have a matching donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match to find unrelated donors and receive the transplant they need.
My brother, Marc, was a 25-year survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and my biggest inspiration in life. We were lucky enough that I was a match for my brother and I could give him my bone marrow back in 1990, but there are many people out there that aren't as lucky. They depend on organizations like Be The Match to find unrelated donors and receive the bone marrow transplant that their life depends on.
Marc volunteered for "Project Marrow" at the University of Iowa where he shared his experience and expertise as a transplant recipient. He helped to educate and recruit new members to the program in hopes of them signing up to be a bone marrow donor for a patient in need. Now that Marc is no longer with us, I am continuing his work and would love if you could donate any amount to this important cause.
Much love and thanks,

Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer.
Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia, need a marrow transplant to survive. Most patients don’t have a fully matched donor in their family — and that’s when they turn to Be The Match®. By participating in a Be The Match Walk+Run, or donating funds, you are providing life-saving support to those patients in need. Join the fight.
