I have the POWER to help DELIVER CURES for blood cancer—and you do too.
I am participating in the Be The Match Walk+Run to raise money to deliver more cures and SAVE MORE LIVES. Now I need YOU to step up and be a hero to a patient in need.
My cousin, Ben, passed away on February 20, 2015 after a sixteen month battle with leukemia. Ben was diagnosed with biphenotypic acute leukemia on October 22, 2013. He battled valiently for sixteen months, mostly with smiles and jokes, rarely with tears or complaints. April 11, 2015 he received a bone marrow transplant and was cancer free for about six months, an extra gift to all who knew him. Ben's transplant was facilitated by the Be The Match organization. On May 6, 2018 the Teach & Levy families will participate in the walk as "Team Ben". Any donation would be greatly appreciated!
Did you know? A marrow transplant can be a life-saving treatment for more than 70 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell. Seventy percent of patients do not have a matching donor in their family. They depend on Be The Match to find unrelated donors and receive the transplant they need.
