Our fabulous “Marrow Me Cara” crew is teaming up for our second annual Be The Match Walk+Run on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in downtown Chicago's Grant Park because we believe in saving lives! Aplastic Anemia has a cure. We need YOU to join the fight to help Cara and patients like her.
Cara was diagnosed with a life-threatening and rare bone marrow failure disease, called Aplastic Anemia in 2016. The only cure for Aplastic Anemia is a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, like 70% of patients she did not have any matches in my family and relies on the national bone marrow registry to find a match.
The "Marrow Me Cara" campaign was created by Cara and family to educate the public about bone marrow transplants, and dismantle the fear of becoming a donor. Our team has registered 1,100+ willing donors with Be The Match from all over the country, and now we are building a 5k team give back to Be The Match for their endless support.
Last year, we raised $9,656! Can you help us beat it? Please make a lifesaving tax-deductible contribution. Every dollar counts!
100% of money raised will directly:--Build the national bone marrow registry with life-saving donors--Pay for transplant costs for patients in need--Fund research that will save lives
Please support us and together we can show Aplastic Anemia and other blood diseases it has met its match.

Every 3 minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer.
Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia, need a marrow transplant to survive. Most patients don’t have a fully matched donor in their family — and that’s when they turn to Be The Match®. By participating in a Be The Match Walk+Run, or donating funds, you are providing life-saving support to those patients in need. Join the fight.
