Western Illinois University

We're doing something epic—something that really matters. Every 4 minutes a baby, child or adult is diagnosed with a blood cancer like leukemia, and thousands of these patients need a bone marrow transplant to survive. Patients who have a young donor have the best chance of transplant success. They need us, and we've decided to be their cure. You can too. Join us!

Save Lives

Every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed with a life-threatening blood disease like leukemia, lymphoma, or sickle cell anemia. For many, the only chance for a cure is a marrow transplant from someone outside their family. Be The Match connects patients with life-saving marrow donors and raises money to help all patients get the transplant they need. Flex your power. Join our chapter today! Save lives. Build a lasting legacy.

Announcements

Our chapter will be holding our first bone marrow drive on November 7th, 2013 and we couldn’t be any more excited. The drive will start at 4:00 pm in the rec center and will be followed by a glow in the dark “Dash for the Match”  5k around campus for both students and the community. The cost is $25.00, which includes an awesome glow in the dark t- shirt. Participants can walk or run distances of 1 mile, 2 miles, or the full 5k; whichever they choose. Please come out and help support the great cause of Be the Match by joining the registry and potentially save someone’s life! See you then!
