Get a Kit...Give a Kit

1. Register to be a Lifesaver -  If you are between the ages of 18 and 60 and in overall good health, you can become a Registry member by ordering a kit, taking a swab of your cheek, and mailing the kit back in. If you are identified as a potential match for someone, you would then be further profiled for possible peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) or marrow donation.*

If you are interested in becoming a donor, please copy and paste join.marrow.org/CARLSTAM2010 to your address bar. You will then be asked to provide general information to receive a tissue typing kit.

2. Give Dollars - Even if you do not want to receive a tissue typing kit, you can still contribute to the cause. It costs in the neighborhood of $25-$100 to add one new member into the Be The Match Registry. Help Chip raise funds to cover tissue typing by clicking the "Support Chip" button on the right.

The March for a Match Campaign

Since the spring of 2007, I have been aggressively battling non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. The support that has come our way has been a terrific display of God's love and care for us. We are blessed and so hopeful for a recovery. But it has come down to this...we must find a stem cell match for a transplant as soon as possible. This is the best chance to eliminate the Lymphoma from my body. Thousands of cancer patients, including me, are depending on the willingness of interested friends like you to register with the NBMR's "Be the Match" program. Please do it today. Honestly, YOU could save a life.
