Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, our friend Sarah was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) 6.5 years ago. Sarah had been in remission until Thanksgiving, when she was diagnosed with an ALL relapse and was told that she would need a bone marrow transplant. The sooner we find a match the better! We will be hosting a bone marrow drive through Be the Match, a foundation that recruits donors who will potentially be matches for people who are in need of a transplant. Unfortunately, screening a potential donor costs $100, and we are raising funds to ensure that no one is turned away. Since anyone who registers at the drive in honor of Sarah will be placed in the national registry, you are not only supporting us in our journey to find a match for Sarah, but also making a difference in the lives of other people who are also in need of this life saving treatment.

On Monday, January 24, 2011, 140 people from Sarah's school district and the surrounding community joined the Be the Match Registry! Thank you to everyone who came!
