Cheryl is a 55 year old mother and grandmother from Painesville who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in Sept. of 2012. As a consequence, Cheryl had to resign from a job where she was employed for over 20 years.  She was also an active member of Montville Church of Christ where she taught Bible School.  Her diagnosis resulted in a compromised immune system that prohibits her from doing the things she loves.  The family will be holding a bone marrow drive.  Even though her chemotherapy has been successful, Cheryl will eventually require a bone marrow transplant in order to prevent relapse.  Cheryl has a chromosome that makes finding a match challenging.

Please help add us more members to the Be The Match Registry at our Donor Drive to ensure that everyone who needs a transplant finds a donor.  All it takes to join the Registry is a simple swab of a Q-tip! Did you know that 70-80% of donors save a life by donating stem cells? This simple process only involves two IVs and is not much more difficult than giving blood!  AMAZING!  Please join the registry.  You may never get called, but if you do, what a legacy you can leave!

We would like to recruit 100 new members into the Be The Match Registry as possible.  You must be between the ages of 18 – 44, willing to donate to anyone in need, and in general good health.  Once you join, you will stay in the database until you turn 61.
